Since my beginnings I have been attracted by abstraction as a form of pictorial expression.
In my artistic work is very present the complex relationships we engage with nature, with the places we inhabit or have been abandoned, with the landscapes and cities that make up our memory.
Somehow these traces or remains, those multiple transformations and appropriations that occur over time in this relationship, so often contradictory, appear in my paintings and collages.
Using paper not only as a support but as a technique in itself for the spontaneity it reflects, I play with the ambiguity of its state and its emptiness.
The landscapes start from pre-existing works that I break and then be used in the final work.
They are links that link and build new imaginaries.
I seek only the sensation without other guidance than nature and the absence of man.
A pact with beauty.
And yet, that experimentation around the pictorial act also participates in a certain formal containment so present in our modern tradition.
Desde mis inicios me he sentido atraída por la abstracción como forma de expresión pictórica.
En mis trabajos artísticos está muy presente las complejas relaciones que entablamos con la naturaleza, con los lugares que habitamos o que han sido abandonados, con los paisajes y las ciudades que conforman nuestra memoria.
De algún modo esas huellas o restos, esas múltiples transformaciones y apropiaciones que a lo largo del tiempo se dan en esa relación, tantas veces contradictoria, aparecen en mis pinturas y collages.
Utilizando el papel no sólo como soporte sino como técnica en sí misma por la espontaneidad que refleja, juego con la ambigüedad de su estado y su vacío.
Los paisajes parten de trabajos preexistentes que rompo para luego ser utilizados en obra final.
Son vínculos que enlazan y construyen nuevos imaginarios.
Busco sólo la sensación sin otra guía que la naturaleza y la ausencia del hombre.
Un pacto con la belleza.
Y sin embargo, esa experimentación en torno al acto pictórico participa también de una cierta contención formal tan presente en nuestra tradición moderna.
